The archaeological site ofSanta Luisa is a multicomponent site located east of El Tajin in the state of Veracruz, discovered by S. Jeffrey K. Wilkerson of the Institute for Cultural Ecology of the Tropics in the 1970s. This early Archaic site was one of the first pre-ceramic sites found in the lowland Maya region. I could not find any pictures of this site, but it would have played a part in the structure of the Maya forest. The forest is a relic of the dynamic relationship in which humans have played an interagral part. This relationship extends back more than four millennia to the initial agricultural pioneers of the Maya forest and is the heritare of contemporary farmers.
